The licensing process requires data entry in the North Dakota payment system, CCWIPS. The CFS Licensing Unit is responsible to enter pertinent information into the payment system.
The home study information is no longer required for data entry purposes. The licensing specialist will have to by-pass the home study screens by simply entering a “.” or “-” in lieu of the responses and data collected.
Pertinent Information Required Includes:
- Provider Search to see if the family is already known to the system
- Register new foster care provider's unknown to the system
- Identifying Information of Applicant A and Applicant B needed includes:
- Marital status
- DOB, Race, Ethnic origin, religion
- Gender
- Tribal Affiliation
- SSN is not required, however the system will require a licensing specialist to enter a number. Refer to internal procedures.
- Physical Address
- Mailing Address
- Telephone Number/s
- Correspondence Name
- Designated Payee Name
- County where the home resides
- Home study assessment indicating ages, gender, and number of licensed beds for the home.
- Documentation to approve or deny the license.
Authorized licensing agents (Nexux-PATH, Tribal Nation, etc) licensing specialists completing licensing studies, external to the CFS Licensing Unit,do not have access to enter data in the foster care provider licensing/payment system. The CFS Licensing Unit will enter the licensing information.
